Rock and Pop Music Teacher

Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday
Starting Salary: £24,000 per annum
Plus monthly fuel contributions
Holiday: 10 weeks fully paid holiday

The Role

  • Deliver rock and pop band sessions to groups of children in up to 10 primary schools per week
  • Teach young people aged 4-11 how to play drums, keyboard, guitar or vocals
  • Build strong relationships with parents and schools
  • Help pupils deliver their first live performances in front of an audience at our termly concerts
  • Daily admin tasks
  • Working to the RSL structure providing Rock School certificates to our students
  • Be part of a team running holiday camps for 2 weeks throughout the year during the school holidays

Requirements

  • Be able to play at least 2 of the following instruments (Drums, Electric Guitar, Keyboard)
  • Confident singing in front of a class full of engaged children
  • Have a good all-round musical knowledge
  • Hold a valid driving licence and access to own car (essential)
  • Strong organisation and IT skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Be a confident individual who is passionate about music
  • Be able to build positive relationships with adults and children
